It depends on the hospital's immigration knowledge. Most of the hospitals in the NY/NJ/CT/MA/CA where there are a lot of immigrants are aware of EAD.
So they prefer EAD over H1/J1 as they can avoid the process of application.
This is from my personal experience. Some states like Maine, New Hampshre are not even aware of EAD. In such hospitals you can take a chance with the expectation of getting a Green card and convince them with the Social security number. Also apply for your social security number once you get your EAD. This really helps if you need to convince the hospital.
Overall having an EAD is a big plus when compared to H1. NEVER go for J1. The waivers are very difficult to get and you'd have a lot of mental tension. I dont think its worth it, if you are planning to stay in USA. My wife stayed home for a year, when she was matched for a J1 hospital. She again applied the next year and got a H1.

Interesting question. Since they are taking 8-10 days or more to generate receipts perhaps we can send papers in now and hope they generate a receipt in the first week of July.

So it's possible your case hasn't been inputted yet.
My situation is ok. It was my error in putting in wrong receipt number..i'm ok with 4 receipt numbers, 4 cases ap/ead/140/485. It's in god's hands as to RFE or rejection though that would be a pain for uscis to cash all 4 checks then to reject/refund.

:) May be you are caught on Name Check process.. Call USCIS and get your namecheck status.
Also USCIS process is a complete mess, if someone entered you under CHN quota then 2020. I hope that may not be the case as they have accepted your application even your PD 2007. You should be fine, have patience Use AC21 if you are not happy with your employeer. 6 months from approval of I-140 count that and move on.

This is how they could have replied. They should have started a 10 Rs. Education cess on every McDonald burger sold and every Pepsi/Coke bottle sold and every pizza sold by pizza hut & Dominos. I had both PERM and I-140 copy. I think I-140 should be enough. Any way check with the lawyer, of the new company before resigning from the current one.
You should get 3 years, in a normal case, depends on the reviewing officer. If not you can apply for H1-Extn based on approved I-140 from prev employer ( Current Employer should not revoke it, I think) . I changed twice after I-140 and both times i got 3 years.

My parents will be visiting in the year end and I want to send them the required documents to get the visa application going. Can anyone here post a template for the following -
1. Invitation letter from the sponsor to the visitor visa applicant
2. Letter to consulate by the sponsor
Also for bank statements, can I use the prinout from PDF available online from my bank website (banf of america)? Do these printouts need notarization?
I would appreciate any info.

You are merely a beneficiary of 140 application, the petitioner is your GC sponsoring company - only the company or representative has the authority to make inquiries. First step, you should ask your attorney or company to call USCIS and mention that your 140 is outside processing time and also you had responded to an RFE , it has passed standard response/decision time (usually 60 days) - ask the CSR to open an SR. For the most cases that I know, this has triggered a decision with in 45 days from the date of SR. Hope this helps.

By the time I got denial notice during October 2007, I received EAD. So I have assumed that there is no need to convert back to H4 and started working on EAD continuing the same project. Do you think I'm in critical situation? Please advise me. I'm panic. My husband's H1B visa is also over by February 2008 and he started working on EAD by changing his employer. His former employer did not cooperate with him to extend his H1B visa as he might have thought he will leave hime soon on AC21. Please help me.

I am in the same boat as well. But you answer your question - am almost sure you don't need FP to renew your EAD. Having said that - why would renew your card in June? (Considering that you might not have received your EAD till Aug-Sep'07 of last year).

Recently travelled through EWR using AP without any issues. No questions asked. Only issue was the wait time in the secondary inspection room. There were about 25-30 people waiting infront of me. It took one hour 30 mins to finish the process at the secondary inspection room.
On a side note, if you are travelling through Frankfurt airport, don't buy liqour either in US or India b'coz the security people won't allow liqour bought on non-European countries and non-european airlines.I have to throw away the stuff in the airport.
