I hope you meant people who filed for GC. I do not think IV has much in terms of goals to alleviate the issue with H-1

Google G639 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-639.pdf) form for the pdf version. Here, it's already done. Just click on the link it will take you to the form you need to request the information. Fill it completely in as much details as possible and then get it notarized for your signature at a bank. Once notarized, mail the form out to the address shown on the form.
My personal experience:
I followed the exact procedure as explained above and it took me 3 months to get everything i requested as a pdf document files on a CD instead of paper copies. It depends upon how many requests they have in the pipeline. 3 months is not bad i think. Good luck for your request.

I just wanted clarify that USCIS do provide copy of approved 140 even if there is no 485 application associated with it.
Because what I have hears was “140 is employer petition USCIS never going to provide it to employee”.

Hello Guys,
Here is my situation, it might help to many, who are planning to move to MA..
My background License history:
I had two full term (4 years) license in PA (I guess when I came to USA they used to give full term license) and got a 2 year license recently in NC since my EAD was valid till 2010 only.
Now 1 month ago moved to MA:
1- First time I went to RMV (same as DMV), very rude person, your license is temp and we can do transfer for you. You need to take written and road test again. I argued that I had full term licenses and this is not temp license. This is based on my visa and issue me till the validity of visa. Person got angry and told me, don't tell me the rules. This is temp license and let me make sure I put you on the system, so you can get any where else.
I spoke to her supervisor and person told me the same. I came back and thought, this person might be rude and went to different RMV next day.
2- Second day, different center and they told the same and I thought since this the rule let me start the process and take the written test and road test.
Now the problem-
They took all the paperwork and made copy and started with my wife for test. She went to take a test and she didn't allow me to so by saying that there is a hold for you at other place and you need to go there.
Since my wife was not prepared, she failed and STRANGE THING, THEY KEPT HER LICENSE and didn't return. I asked that how is she going to drive etc. We can't give license back.
Now we are stuck, until she passes her written and road test.
Same thing is going to happen for me. I am in very painful situation and don't know the way out.
If anyone has similar situation, please share.
ALSO, PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TO MA, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THIS CEAZY RULE AND BE ARE PREPARED

bkarnik , I agree ...but ABC USA and ABC Canada are two totally seperate companies for immigration/H1/GC purposes.
When working in US --- ABC USA will have to pay US wages per H1B LCA, ABC Canada doesnt pay
When working in Canada -- ABC USA pays nothing, ABC Canada pays
Tax implications are complex :) but as far as I know, If taxes are being filed in US, Worldwide Income will have to be reported on the 1040 OR else file 1040 Non-Resident in which you can report only the US wages.
!!! Ask a lawyer and a tax advisor !!!!! better be safe than sorry .... but I believe that the scenario described is justifiable and legal

Per my limited knowledge, H1 can be sponsored by an employer having a business in the US. I am sure this is an issue that is a clash between the tax laws and the immigration laws. I would request you to submit your question for the next attorney call and hopefully we get an clear answer.

What should one put for
1. Nonimmigrant Visa number
2. Date Visa Issued
3. Consulate Where Visa was Issued.
I'm currently on a valid H1 extension with a valid I-94. My current visa on passport has expired. Anybody any ideas????

2.whenever the expired visa was issued
3.whereever it was issued.

I think all the 140 approved / pending at TSC and 485 applied at NSC have been transfered to TSC

I was working for a Company A with whom I recently had my petition extended until this year Aug. Then I got laid off and then changed to Company B in Dec 09. But since then until now which is 6 weeks my current employer (his lawyer) has not filed my H1 to USCIS and going to do it shortly. But then Company A again want to rehire me now. One good thing is my Current I-797 petition is with Company A which is not revoked and is valid. But the bad news is they say I've been out of H1 Status since I left them in Dec and that would be a problem for them and for me to rehire me.
The Options Company A is giving me is to go out and get restamping done based on the current petition I have and agree/confess to Consulate that I was out of H1 status for 6 weeks and was under unauthorized employment (which I did not intent to break law as I only came to know a week back that my new employer has not filed the H1) and ask their forgiveness to come out clean. But under the current H1 weather I really don't want to risk going for restamping is one and revealing that I was out of status for 6 weeks which leave my chances of restamping slim.
So I'm really looking for an answer here from someone who either has went through my situation or someone with experience or a professional advice. Just let me know how can I join back Company A legally without going out of US to restamp?

I have a Nikon D70s and always get the 3 dust particles showing up on every photo I take. I've tried to clean the inside of the camera as much as possible, but I can't get rid of the dust. Is there a way I can clean the sensor or do I have to send it to Nikon? I have a photo shoot this weekend and would like to have it cleaned by then if possible.
Another question - How often should I format my memory cards?

Instead of all this country caps, applying for GC and waiting, why don't they get a rule like European countries? In UK, netherlands and Denmark it is very simple. All you have to do is prove that you made more money (ofcouse taxes count) than the stipulated amount by the government. Pay the taxes for 4 or 5 years and take the GC(Permanent Resident). Simple no lawyer no crap. Country benefits we benefit. I lived in UK for more than 3 years and I would have become a citizen by now. But never wanted to be in UK, it was only a stop over. I always loved America, don't know why? Do you think it is because of Hollywood? I'm kidding. But still I love this country. Hope things will change some day. If not my daughter will sponsor me when she turns 21.
